Severe bleeding can become life-threatening within minutes – formerly this was known as catastrophic haemorrhage. This practical course gives you the knowledge and confidence to act quickly and effectively in an emergency.

You’ll learn how to:

– Recognise life-threatening bleeding

– Take immediate action to control severe blood loss

– Use tourniquets and haemostatic dressings safely and effectively

– Support a casualty until the Emergency Services arrive

Through hands-on, simulation-based scenarios, you’ll build the skills needed to respond calmly and decisively when it matters most.

Recommended for: Anyone in higher hazard workplaces, settings where Public Access Trauma Kits are located and those concerned about dealing with Life-Threatening Bleeding.
