Lunchtime Supervisor First Aid
This 2 or 3 hour session is designed to give lunchtime cover staff basic first aid skills; they are encouraged to call on a first aider whenever unsure or for more major needs. The syllabus is set in conjunction with the school to ensure that their specific needs are covered.
A full course content and attendance documentation is provided to the school for their training file.
Ideal for: enabling Lunchtime Supervisor staff to commence first aid whilst awaiting a fully qualified first aider and to treat more minor first aid injuries.
Course Content
Dealing with minor bleeds including cuts, grazes and nose-bleeds
Choking
Bumps to heads
Burns (think hot gravy and custard!)
Tutor demos of CPR and using an AED
Dealing with unresponsive casualties
Medical conditions as set by client - typically this might include asthma, anaphylaxis, diabetes, epilepsy
Any other topics as directed by the client
