First Aid for Dance

This 8-hour course demonstrates how a course can be tailored for specific needs of a workplace and the syllabus was set in collaboration with Yorkshire Dance who are based in Leeds.

It covers the emergency life-saving first aid topics contained in all first aid qualifications i.e. the core syllabus of the HSE’s Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course, and additional topics relevant to those most common first aid situations which occur in a dance setting whether it be in a class or a during a performance. This course results in a recognised first aid qualification.

Recommended for: Dance teachers and professionals; Sports coaches; Pilates instructors; Theatre staff (to support those who hold an FAW qualification)

An alternative to this course is to attend the 6-hour EFAW course and complete the virtual Sports Injury Module to cover the same syllabus. If you require an 8-hour certificate rather than two separate certificates please contact us at the time of booking your course.
