Paediatric First Aid
The Paediatric First Aid course complies with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage legislation pertaining to children aged from birth to five years.
We recognise that children are not small adults – they have physiological differences and particularly with younger children communication can also be a problem. This course addresses these issues with reference to first aid provision. Training methods are interactive and hands-on, designed to give participants practical skills to deal with children of all ages in any emergency situation.
Recommended for: Childminders, nursery staff, primary school staff, forest school leaders and anyone else working with younger children
Important information:
This course does not cover adult employees as adult CPR and heart attacks are NOT covered. By extending the minimum course time by an hour, Underwood Training is able to provide a dual certificated course for in-house groups which will meet an employer’s duty of care to its staff as well as to the children in their care. We call this an ‘Adult Visitor Module‘. Contact us for details.
