This 2-3 hour course updates and assesses candidates knowledge and skills pertaining to Basic Life Support (BLS) in line with current Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines. It is suitable for those health care professionals who work outside of acute hospital settings with limited resuscitation equipment including AEDs, oxygen and basic airway management tools such as Bag Valve Masks.  As standard on our courses practical skills include use of equipment that is available in the clinical setting, so each course is tailored to the clients’ workplace.  It is suitable to use for professional CPD purposes for those staff who are registered with the GMC, BDA, NMC or HCPC excepting for staff who administer sedation who will need a higher level of qualification.

The Medical Emergencies for Health Care Professionals course can be added if required, or for some clients they request the addition of Anaphylaxis. Please discuss your requirements at point of booking as this affects the duration of the training.

Courses are generally run In-Person Group at the clients’ premises, although if you do not have space for the practical aspects of the training then we are able to host your course at our training premises. Our open courses dates are designed for sole traders and smaller practices; they are also useful for training new starters who have missed their annual update.
